I've been working with Moodle since 2007 and I also teach scientific communication.
  • Consultant to INASP and INASP Associate, based in Mumbai (2012 to present)
    • site administrator, course creator, and online facilitator on INASP Moodle
    • developed online courses in scientific writing and grant proposal writing and facilitated these courses, which have been completed by more than 1,000 researchers in developing countries
    • facilitated train-the-trainer workshops in Ghana, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Vietnam
    • spoke at conferences in Arusha, Bangalore, Bangkok, and Montreal
  • AuthorAID Training Coordinator at INASP, based in London (2011-12)
    • advocated for the use of Moodle and supervised the implementation
    • piloted an online course in scientific writing and published a paper about it
    • facilitated scientific writing workshops in Ethiopia, Nepal, Rwanda, and Zambia
    • spoke at conferences in Accra, Dublin, London, and Tallinn

Between 2004 and 2007, I was mainly a copyeditor of engineering and scientific manuscripts. I hold a certification from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences.

From 2001 to 2004, I was a postgraduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I developed a strong interest in engineering education and held a number of positions:
